Writer Lakshmi Bhupala of 'Oh Baby' and 'Nene Raju Nene Mantri' fame has hit out at those who are claiming that they have worked under him as assistants in the past. A budding writer recently took an advance payment from a producer by falsely claiming that he is an assistant writer of Bhupala.
In a Facebook post, the 'Ala Modalaindi' writer said that he is his own writer and he has got no "branches'. He warned them of public shaming if they falsely claim to be his ghostwriters or assistants. "I feel that blatantly lying and making the quick buck is worse than an 'anga maarpidi' operation. I will shame them on TV and have them felicitated by their own family members," Bhupala wrote with a tinge of sarcasm.
He sounded angry in the post and added that he has always written everything on his own without depending on assistants. "My brain is my only investment. I don't collaborate with others," Bhupala added.
Known for collaborating on a number of Nandini Reddy movies, Bhupala is currently writing 'Anni Manchi Sakunale', which stars Santosh Shoban and Malavika Nair. He is also writing for Teja Sajja's 'Adbutham', which is directed by Mallik Ram.
