Noted writer, poet and lyricist Indraganti Srikanth Sharma passed away on Thursday morning. His son, Mohankrishna Indraganti, is a popular Tollywood filmmaker.

A journalist early in his career, Srikanth Sharma went on to write books and songs for many Telugu films.

Condoling the departed soul, Natural Star Nani said, "Indraganti Srikanth Sharma garu passed away. Apart from his genius in Telugu literature, he was such a warm and positive person. I still remember how happy he was watching 'Ashta Chamma' and how proud he was of Mohan sir and all of us."

Dil Raju's production house said, "We are deeply saddened by the unfortunate passing away of Sri Indraganti Srikanth Sarma garu, renowned scholar and father of Indraganti Mohana Krishna garu. Our thoughts and prayers with the family."
