In interviews of the past Sivakarthikeyan has stated that in 2011-12 while starring with Oviya in Marina' as a newcomer, Oviya used to encourage him by saying that Vimal with whom she did Kalavani' became a saleable hero and he too would one day make it big. Now six years later, Oviya's words have come true and SK is currently a huge brand in Kollywood.
In an interaction with his fans recently Sivakarthikeyan on a question about Oviya has asserted that she is the same now as before “playful and innocent”.
