We had earlier reported that actor Salim Kumar will be directing Jayaram in his upcoming movie. Now the latest update is that the team has roped in gorgeous actress Mamta Mohandas to play the female lead. This is Jayaram and Mamta's fourth film together as they have previously acted in films like Katha Thudarunnu, Njanum Ente Familiyum and Madhuchandralekha. 

Though Jayaram and Salim Kumar have shared the screen space in a number of movies, this is the first time they are reuniting as an actor-director combo. Apart from directing, Salim Kumar will also be playing a prominent role in the upcoming movie. Alwin Antony of Ananya Films and Dr Zachariah Thomas of UGM Entertainment will be jointly funding the upcoming movie which will go on floors on October 10.

Salim Kumar's first directorial venture was the critically acclaimed movie 'Compartment', which dealt with the life of differently abled children. His second directorial venture 'Karutha Joothan' which revolves around a black Jew and his quest to find his lost identity will be brought to the theatres soon by Lal Jose's own banner LJ Films.
