OFFICIAL: John Abraham to remake Ayyappanum Koshiyum!

While the Tamil and Telugu remake rights of the Malayalam blockbuster 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' are already sold, the latest is that the Bollywood hunk John Abraham's production venture has brought Hindi remake rights of the flick.
On buying the rights, John had tweeted, "Ayyappanum Koshiyum, a film that strikes a perfect balance between action, thrill, and a good story. At JA Entertainment we are keen to bring such appealing stories to our audience..we hope to make a truly engaging film with this remake in Hindi. Really Excited !!!"
'Ayyappanum Koshiyum', the revenge drama that revolved around an ego clash between a police officer named Ayyappan Nair, played by Biju Menon, and a retired havildar named Koshy Kurian, essayed by Prithviraj, is written and helmed by Sachy. The movie hit the screens a month ago and was a huge success at the box-office grossing over rupees 50 crores and also earned critical acclaims. 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' is produced by the banner Gold Coin Motion Pictures.
The Tamil remake rights is bagged by S Kathireasan, who has produced acclaimed films like ‘Aadukalam’ and ‘Jigarthanda’. Meanwhile, the film’s Telugu rights were recently bagged by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, who was the producer of superhit film ‘Jersey’ and Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’.
