Would this year be better?

When one looks back on the year that has just gone past us, there is room for happiness and room for sadness.
Happiness at the fact that Tollywood is very much open to actress from outside. But sadness that no real local talent emerged on the distaff side.
Look at the list that did well last year. Charmi, Trisha, Anushka, Ileana, Sindhu Tolani, Shreya.
Each one of them was from elsewhere. Only Trisha originally hails from the South (Tamil Nadu).
The two local talents in the fray ---Laya and Archana --- did not exactly set any river on fire.
In fact, Laya, who is now very busy in Malayalam now, had the mortification of being removed from a Telugu movie at the last moment.
Local fans are hoping that local talents would get a better deal at least this year.
