'World War Z 2' With Brad Pitt Release Date Announced

'World War Z' starring Brad Pitt released in 2013 was a hit in commercial terms and it was followed with the announcement the same year that an untitled sequel with Brad reprising his role as Gerry Lane would be happen. It was announced then that Juan Antonio Bayona of 'The Impossible' (2012) was attached to direct the apocalyptic action horror film.
Earlier today, Paramount Pictures revealed that 'World War Z 2' will break out across theatres on June 9, 2017. This falls in line with 20th Century Fox's already planned 'Fantastic Four 2'. In addition, it has been told that 'Locke' writer and director Steven Knight will be penning the screenplay for 'World War Z 2' with Pitt once again returning as producer.
When 'World War Z' in 2013, the film managed to ward off majority of the negative advance press to go on to make around half a billion dollars. It must be noted that the sequel`s release date is close to the original released on June 21, 2013.
