‘World Famous Lover’ Teaser: Brooding, agonized lover

Those anger management issues.  That ‘Arjun Reddy’ kinda brooding vibes. That agony over losing someone.  The Teaser for ‘World Famous Lover’ gives Vijay Deverakonda one more opportunity to indulge himself, complete with unkempt hair and a more-than-usual beard.

Raashi Khanna, Catherine Tresa, Izabelle Leite, and Aishwarya Rajesh play his girlfriends.  One of them tells him that love is divine and that it’s about sacrifice.  Vijay’s character is portrayed as somewhat troubled.

In one frame, he is at the Singareni coal mines, wearing the uniform of a worker.  In another, he is in posh foreign locations, flirting with a White woman. Does this suggest the wide scale of the story or hint at some psychiatric issues faced by Vijay’s character?  If it’s the latter, only one woman is actually there. The other women must be in his head and nothing more. We will know the truth on February 14.

Written and directed by Kranthi Madhav, the film has music by Gopi Sundar.
