The teaser of 'World Famous Lover' has triggered a barrage of memes on social media. Most of these memes have a common theme: Vijay Deverakonda is still stuck with the 'Arjun Reddy' hangover.

Whatever may be the film's story and sensibilities, the teaser has thrown up unmistakable 'AS' and 'Dear Comrade' sensibilities. Anish Kumar JS tweets out asking if 'WFL' is a prequel of 'Arjun Reddy'. One Rathnavelu feels that the film could be a sequel to 'Naa Autograph' of Ravi Teja.

Others feel that VD has been crying too much. "If Deverakonda's character cried for Preethi in 'Arjun Reddy', Lilly in 'Dear Comrade', it's Yamini in this film," a user said, sharing a meme.

In yet another meme, Chiranjeevi is seen wondering when Deverakonda will get over the 'Arjun Reddy' hangover.

VD's fans come to defence:

While trolls are at it, the actor's fans are defending him. Says Subhashree, "We made Arjun Reddy as a layer of skin on Vijay. Anything he does, however hard he tries, how much efforts, patience and perseverance he places, we don’t just let him shed that AR skin."

Another fan feels that people are jealous of Deverakonda. "World Famous Lover is an anthology of four different love stories. Some people just can't digest the growth of VD," he tweets out.
