Mega Star Chiranjeevi has been shooting for Koratala Siva’s Acharya for a long time due to the pandemic. His forthcoming film, tentatively called "Chiru153", is the remake of the Malayalam blockbuster "Lucifer".

Lucifer is an action film starring the complete actor Mohanlal and this flick marks the directorial debut of famous actor Prithviraj. Prithviraj who is an ardent fanboy of Lal Ettan crafted this film incredibly. Lucifer became the highest-grossing Malayalam film ever.

The Telugu remake is helmed by talented director Jayam Mohan Raja. The stage is set for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 153 rd film as the team has kickstarted pre-production work. The makers erected the sets required to shoot the Lucifer remake. A formal pooja was conducted on Thursday to resume set work for the mass entertainer.

Art director Suresh Selvarajan took to social media to announce he has resumed work. The highlight of Chiru153 will be to see if Chiranjeevi will sport a salt-and-pepper look for the film. Megastar fans are awaiting his look in this project.

Lucifer is the first installment in a trilogy and will be followed by L2:Empuraan and an untitled sequel, which are in development. It remains to be seen if the makers of the remake wish to carry on the sequels too. Further details are awaited.
