Rajinikanth has stated that he won't fall into the BJP trap, by which the Tamil superstar means that he will not join the party. "There has been an attempt to paint me in colours of BJP like it was done to Thiruvalluvar (Tamil poet) statue. Neither Thiruvalluvar nor I will fall into their trap," the '2.0' and 'Darbar' actor today said.
He added, "Some people and media are trying to give an impression that I am a BJP man. This isn't true. Any political party will be happy if anyone joins them. But it is on me to take a decision."
What about his political plans? Rajini didn't say anything specific about when he plans to launch his own party.
The actor awaits the release of 'Darbar', directed by AR Murugadoss, for Sankranthi 2020. The film's Motion Poster was on Thursday unveiled by Mahesh Babu in Telugu.
