The release date of the second installment of the DC Superhero movie Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman 1984 has been postponed to August, with hopes of a better release after the disaster caused by COVID-19 pandemic.
Wonder Woman 1984 was initially announced to release on June 5 and the latest official announcement is that the movie will release on August 14. Earlier there were reports of discussions taking place in Warner Bros to bring Wonder Woman 1984 to digital streaming services directly without theatrical release.
Gal Gadot tweeted "In these dark and scary times, I am looking forward to a brighter future ahead. Where we can share the power of cinema together again. Excited to redate our WW84 film to August 14, 2020. I hope everyone is safe. Sending my love to you all. ❤️".It must be noted that initially Wonder Woman 1984 was announced as a November 1, 2019 release, and Warner Bros. pushed it to June 2020.
