You don't need to be a PhD in Indian films to say that there are very few woman directors.

Times they are changing in Bollywood with the arrival of avant garde directors like Gurinder Chadha, Deepa Mehta, Tanuja Chandra.

But time is still to catch up with Tollywood. We had an occasional Bhanumathi.

And now comes Jaya, the director who gave us Chantigadu.

Jaya is now on her second directorial venture Premikulu starring Yuvraj, Kamna and Rishi in the leads.

The movie has triggered heavy expectations in the industry as Jaya is seen to be a talented director.

Whatever response the film may elicit, the audio release of the film elicited tremendous response from Tollywood young talents.

Prabhas released the film's audio while Ravi Teja received it. MS Raju, the hot-shot producer, bought the first cassette.

Trisha was the chief attraction of the function held at Prasad Labs.

Among those spotted were Kiran, Prabhudeva, Allari Naresh, Jeyam Ravi, Shoban, S V Krishna Reddy, Rajamouli, producers M Arjun Raj, M L Kumara Chowdhary, Chanti Addala, M Satyanarayana Reddy, Lagadapati Rajagopal, Acchi Reddy Bogavalli Prasad Jayant, Doraswamy Raju, Jayabheri Kishore, Arjuna Raju and Lagadapati Sridhar.

Malayalam music director Ravindran's, who passed away recently, son Sajjan Madhav has scored the music. Sajjan has worked with AR Rehman and is hence expected bring the same lilt and rhythm to his craft.

At the end of it all, it was clear that Jaya looks to be on her way to second success.
