Women all over the country are increasingly experiencing harassment not only by men, but also by their own husbands and family as well. A family in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh shockingly has recorded a video of a 26 year old woman hanging herself to death instead of rescuing.

Not only that the family had then went on to release the video in social media as well. The incident had taken place in the Buddha Vihar Colony of Thana Highway area. The police have also filed cases of dowry,  harassment and non-consensual murder against the in-laws. In addition to this, the husband Raj Kapoor and the mother-in-law were also arrested.

Reportedly, the husband had many a times abused his wife for bringing less dowry. Even in the video, one could hear the husband shout ‘Maraan de’ which means ‘let her die’.
