Actor-producer Vishal is in the news over alleged financial malfeasance by an employee at Vishal Film Factory. The production house's manager Hari has lodged a complaint at the Vadapalani police station in Chennai against a female employee, who has been with them for six years, saying that she has been swindling them at regular intervals.

According to the complaint, the woman recently bought a new house worth Rs 45 lakh, which he feels is an indicator that she might have siphoned off crores of rupees from the company. The Inspector in Vadapalani has forwarded the complaint to Virugambakkam station for further action.

Vishal is currently producing and acting in the cybercrime thriller 'Chakra' (to be released in both Telugu and Tamil on an OTT platform in a few weeks from now) and 'Thupparivaalan 2' (a sequel to 'Detective'), for which the 'Abhimanyudu' actor has taken over the reins as the director.
