A woman belonging to Thiruvallur district, Tiruthani has killed her father in law who had conducted the second marriage of her husband by burning him to death. Sabapathi belonging to Nemili village, had got his son Prabhakaran married to Gayathri before 11 years.

Gayathri was from Madhavaram, Chennai, and within less than one year of marriage they had got into arguments and conflicts, and had been separated,and in this situation, Sabapathi conducted Prabhakaran's second marriage.

Shocked by the news of this second marriage, two days back Gayathri argued with Sabapathi, and as she was angered further, returned with her mother Kalaivani, and poured kerosene over Sabapathi who was sleeping, and set him on fire. As neighbours rushed him to hospital he passed away due to severe injuries, and following this, police arrested Gayathri and her mother.
