Amanda Teague from Nothern Ireland married her soulmate Jack, a 300-year-old pirate ghost who was executed in the 1700s after being caught for thieving. This happened in 2016. Now the woman has undergone an exorcism because her husband supposedly possessed her and even threatened to kill her when she called things off.
Aged 47, the former Jack Sparrow impersonator reports having faced problems within 2 weeks of getting married. Teague says that she suffered from perianal abscesses and cirrhosis. She believed that her husband was “a lovely spirit” who would not harm her. When Teague’s dog Toby passed away, it was a red flag for her. Toby had been aggressive towards Jack. She said: "I knew his passing was imminent and I'd asked Jack to keep him until it was my time so we'd all be together. Animals are quite intuitive about people so this was a big red flag to me.”
Her health began to worsen after the incident. She reported that intercourse with the ghost worsened her abscesses. She said: "So anyway, one night, a friend of mine got married to her spiritual partner and Jack and I ended up being intimate. The very next day, the abscess was back with a vengeance.”
Last year in May, Teague developed sepsis and required surgical intervention. She got in touch with her spiritual team following that and her friend also warned her against the spiritual union. Her husband threatened to kill her if she broke off the union. She said: "But I knew in my heart that if I didn't get rid of him, my health was getting so bad, that I was probably going to die anyway." After the exorcism in December, her abscesses and bowel perforation healed miraculously. Teague has now given up spiritual work for good. She said: “I've quit it all because I'm terrified.” Her book on her experience 'A New Attitude' is available for sale.
