Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan celebrates his birthday on November 7, which also happens to be the death anniversary of his father Srinivasan. On this occasion, Raajkamal Films International had announced a three day plan for celebrating Kamal's 60th year in the industry.

On November 7, Kamal will be opening a statue of his father in Paramakudi and on November 8, followed by the launch of K Balachander's statue, a special screening of Hey Ram followed by discussion with Kamal was announced. On November 9, a musical show Ungal naan had been announced.

Now there seems to be a change in plan, as there is a speculation that there might be heavy rains on November 9, and hence the team is planning to shift the program to November 17, with plans to seek permission from the government to conduct th event at Nehru Indoor Stadium. Ungal Naan will have Ilaiyaraja and SPB performing Kamal songs, and Rajnikanth will be a guest in this event.
