Will the son shine?

Monsoon is active almost all over the country. And the sky is grey all over.
So if you are looking for some shine then don't look up. A M Ratnam, the veteran producer, is certainly not gazing at the sky. But he is looking for shine from the sun, er, son.
Yes, he is the one Ratnam is now looking up to. M Ravi Krishna, the second son of this flashy filmmaker, is all set to make his debut as a hero in 7G Brindavan Colony that is set for release next week.
Ratnam, almost a doyen in the industry with films like Karthavyam, Gentleman, Bharateeyudu, Boys, Oke Okkadu and sundry other Tamil films, is launching his son under his home banner Sri Surya Movies.
Ratnam says the director picked his son as the hero of the film based on RaviÂs abilities and looks and not because he happened to be a top producerÂs son.
Sonia Agarwal, a North Indian lass, but now a regular in Tamil movies, is the heroine. Selvaraghavan, the director of Tamil hits like Thulluvatho Ilamai and Kadhal Kondhein (in Telugu it was remade as Nenu), directs this flick.
Already film glossies have romantically linked Selvaraghavan (brother of actor Dhanush) with Sonia.
Not surprisingly, 7 G Brindavan is a brooding love story with psychological import. The music of IlayarjaÂs second son Yuvan Shankar Raja is already a hit.
So RatnamÂs success looks set to continue through his son, too.
