Indians are suckers for emotions and relations.

For proof, look at our films.

And for further proof, look at Tarun, the actor who not long ago was touted to head for unquestionable stardom.

Now the man is clutching at the lame straws that life is offering and hoping that tomorrow is better than today.

He has no passable hit since heaven knows when. His films have been predictably boring. Quite simply, it is in a shambles.

Want to know why? Well, the industry says mom is the word.

An explanation is in order here: his mother Roja Ramani, a former actress herself, has managed Tarun's career so far. And that is the fount of all trouble. Or so say the industrywallahs.

"She is the one who has been a problem. Her domineering presence has spoilt Tarun's chances," says a producer.

Tarun never signs a film unless it is okayed by his mother. "That is no problem, actually," a director who has worked with Tarun says. "She interferes with the script and story and that spoils all the show. She insists on making changes".

His mother wouldn't, not surprisingly, speak on these issue.

Now that it has happened, Tarun cannot do anything about it now.

But he can turn a new leaf in the coming films. The films he has in hand is Chanti Addala--- Ramesh Varma film and Soggadu. The last named is complete and ready for release.

Time for some proactive action, Tarun.
