Cinematographer - director Balu Mahendra is brimming with joy for all troubles seems to be over for his Athu Oru Kanaa Kaalam and is set to make it to the theatres very soon.

A visibly relaxed Balu Mahendra says, 'unfortunately the movie's release has been delayed. Fortunately all troubles are over to ensure a smooth release'. Dwelling more on the film, he says, 'I have proved in Athu Oru Kanaa Kaalam that one can direct a movie featuring a mass hero with very little compromise. It is the movie for the masses with all the essential ingredients of a good cinema'.

A versatile film-maker, Balu Mahendra's films like Veedu, Sandhya Ragam, Azhiyatha Kolangal, Moodu Pani, Moonram Pirai and Sathi Leelavathy still stay fresh in the minds of the film buffs for their realism.

'Quite typical to my earlier films, Athu Oru Kanaa Kaalam has actors who can really perform well on the screen. I am confident that my movie would make all the right noises', he says.

It is also an important film for Dhanush as he is due for a big hit. His last few movies have slid into oblivion.
