No new releases for almost a month meant that 'Tanu Weds Manu' continued to be a one horse race. In fact the film found itself to be in such an advantageous situation that multiplexes continued to screen the film in 4-6 shows at the least. In it's fourth week, the film dropped by a mere 40% hence bringing in over 3 crores to make the total stand at 36 crores. The film gained for itself another week as an open ground to make merry with the new releases failing to make any impact at all. Now it has to be seen if the film's life time total would end up catching up with the 40 crores milestone.

The time is now ripe for the makers to release the film's DVD as it has the potential to find huge audience for itself in that circuit as well. Since the film is a family entertainer, sky is the limit for the film to make it's presence felt for months at stretch. Also, it is all set to be huge on satellite circuit as well.

Another film which has reasonably benefited from zero releases this cricket season is 'Patiala House'. Yet again it managed 40 lakhs more for itself which means that drop from last week was a mere 20%. At 33 crores, the film has now left behind 'Action Replayy' which had to abort it's run after touching 28 crores mark. Not that this Akshay Kumar starrer has suddenly turned into a success story. However it has managed a decent run for itself which means it would now comfortably boast of a 50 days milestone next week before newer releases start dominating the box office.
