Beauty queens are all about being predictable, perhaps. They mouth tired cliches when in competitions (about wanting to be like a Terasa or brave like Kiran Bedi) and then move seamlessly into filmdom.

From Sushmitha and Aishwarya, everyone has done the most predictable thing.

And most of the beauty queens have not done well in films (even Aishwarya, supposedly the most popular of them all, has been in the news simply because she has done movies with right actor and actresses. Not necessarily her films have been successes).

This being their track record, Tanushree Dutta, another well-known beauty queen is hoping to buck the trend.

The leggy lass is one of the heroines in a film with Balakrishna directed by A S Ravi Kumar Chowdary.

Balakrishna movies have usually very little scope for actresses. They are generally there to increase the glamour quotient.

But Tanu, who is sharing frames with Sada in the movie, is hoping that things would be different in this movie.

Let us wait and watch. The movie is set for April release.
