Writer-director Rajesh Touchriver of the award-winning 'Naa Bangaaru Talli' fame has been facing certain allegations. Today, he took to his social media accounts to warn his detractors of legal consequences for spreading, what he called, unsubstantiated falsehoods.
He wrote that any individual, group, social media handle or media house amplifying unsubstantiated allegations against him will be taken to the court under the relevant sections of IPC and the Information Technology Act. Touchriver said that a smear campaign is on against him.
"Persons who are not verifying the facts are part of the narrative. An allegation has to be based on facts. Conclusions have to be drawn on the basis of strong evidence. Hypothetical, vague and wild allegations on reputations built over years of struggle can't be and shouldn't be permitted," the filmmaker and screenwriter added.
The director of 'Patnagarh' has made a number of documentaries and short films over the years. The multi-lingual film 'Cyanide', in which Priyamani is playing a key role, is his current project.
