R Narayana Murthy, the other day, opined that 'Sye Raa' will be Megastar Chiranjeevi's first great film. He meant to say this much: What 'Alluri Seetha Rama Raju' was to Superstar Krishna and what 'Sampoorna Ramayanam' was to Sobhan Babu, 'Sye Raa' will be to Chiru.

The much-awaited, multi-lingual film has a head start at a psychological level when compared to 'Khaidi No. 150'. Films on revered figures almost always are seen to be special. 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' and the yet-to-be-released 'Manikarnika' are two of the recent examples.

Surender Reddy is an out-and-out commercial director who has no track record of handling a biopic, a historical or even a fantasy drama. On the brighter side, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan have an excellent writing department at their service. If the dialogues are by Sai Madhav Burra, the story is by Paruchuri Brothers. Once again, Sathyanand and Vema Reddy are on board, just as it was the case with 'Khaidi No. 150'. Bhupathi Raja, DS Kannan and Madhu Sudhan will also do 'rachana sahakaram' along with Sathyanand and Vema.

AR Rahman may have walked out on it, but everybody hopes the project is Chiru's own 'Alluri' moment!
