Gautamiputra Satakarni's female lead has not been decided as yet. The makers had approached Nayanatara, Balayya's Simha pair, but she could not accommodate her dates till September. Following this, the makers are said to have been mooting the name of Shruti Haasan.

If and when Shruti is approached, it will be interesting to see her response. The diva has been eyeing Bollywood. If she feels that Krish's historical will let her push the envelope, she might accept the role. What is for sure is that it's not easy to replace Nayan, who has already been paired up in a mythological (Sri Rama Rajyam) opposite Balayya.

Meanwhile, the makers are making all arrangements to shoot the movie in the North African country of Morocco from May 9 onwards. They could either shoot there at a stretch or go there for a second time after coming back for a schedule in India.
