Will shoot rape scene on one condition: Actor

Dalip Tahil, a well-known Bollywood actor, was recently asked to do a rape scene with an actress. He didn't say yes immediately. He said he had a condition! Curious, the makers asked him what it is. He revealed that the actress doing the scene should give it in writing that the scene was shot with her full consent. Besides, a video statement was sought from her.
This is an effect of the 'Me Too' movement. Written consent, the actor must have felt, would make it easy to defend himself in the future if there are any sexual harassment allegations.
This consent-seeking may be new to Indian cinema but in some industries in the West, this is not a new thing. Actresses demand an undertaking from producers that it's their full responsibility to ensure that a sex or rape scene is shot in exactly the way it's detailed in the agreement. Which body part will be seen on the screen for how much time and to what extent are all mentioned clearly in the agreement.
