'Shamitabh' directed by R. Balki has Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan in lead role with music by 'Maestro' Ilaiyaraaja is all set for release on February 6.

The movie is having a grand release in over 3000 screens worldwide. It must be noted that actress and singer Shruti Haasan has lent her voice for a song on Akshara Haasan in the movie.

A monumental aspect about this movie is the fact that this is the 1000th movie for Ilaiyaraaja in his career. It must be noted that no music composer in the world has scored for 1000 films.
