Will 'Puli' and 'Nana Puli' ever come?

  • IndiaGlitz, [Tuesday,February 17 2009]

A story in our ancient folklore narrated to us during our childhood days goes like this: There was once a shepherd boy, who was bored while keeping a watch on the sheep. To amuse himself he cried Puli! Nana Puli! Nana Puli (Eng: Tiger! Tiger! The tiger is chasing the sheep) but in the end nothing came for real. Most of us remember the moral of this story.

In case, if you don't, Mahesh Babu is reminding us the moral again and again. He’s not trying it as a theme in his movie but the dates…postponed dates…again postponed dates…whew! of his film with Trivikram Srinivas ‘Varudu’ stands as the perfect example.

With much expectation, fans are eager but they are being lured and dragged with the launch date which is getting amended ever since a year. The last known news was it is supposed to commence on 18th February. Please spare us for making this latest report which says its on 28th (Huh!). But, as we all are well aware by now, it’s no surprise if one more change occurs. After all, the makers have 365 days in a year to juggle with but fans are already losing their buoyant expectations over the film.

Producer Singanamala Ramesh Babu began two consecutive productions, the first being ‘Komaram Puli’ with Pawan Kalyan under the direction of SJ Suryah. With sixty percent complete, the film is stalled temporarily as Pawan is busy working as president of Yuva Rajyam. Mahesh Babu’s is the next in the line and both these huge budget films are in the shelf since sometime now. Apparently, both these flicks have turned out as ‘Puli’ and ‘Nana Puli’ which might not come, in this case go to the floors for now as far as we know. No one knows when Puli will commence nor Nana Puli will begin for sure. The spirit of fans is draining out slow and with this dilemma they might seek solace in some other way than depending on their stars’ films which are elusive so far.
