Director Ameer sure lends his heroines’ characters a lot of meat, be it in ‘Paruthiveeran’ or in his forthcoming ‘Yogi’, in which his heroine Madhumitha is said to have her role of a lifetime. The director, who is next directing Jayam Ravi in 'Kannabiraan', is both giving his script its final touches and looking for a heroine.

Everybody knows Priyamani’s biggest claim to fame is her role as Muthazhagu in 'Paruthiveeran' and the National Award that followed for it. But the actress has now taken a conscious turn to the commercial films side, politely refusing all ‘experimental’ roles that come her way. In fact, she was also offered Madhumitha’s role in 'Yogi', which she reportedly turned down.

And now, it is being said that Ameer has suggested that she may fit the bill to play the heroine in 'Kannabiraan'. Will the actress make an exception and do this different film for that director, who has given her all the fame she commands today? Guess the wait for this news will be worth it.
