The menace of trolling by fans of superstars is back in news. Most recently, a famous woman journalist based in Chennai faced abusive attacks on Twitter when she said in a post that she walked out of a Vijay film. Vijay, a phenomenal star in Tamil, enjoys the support of millions of fans, some of whom are fanatical, like many fans of all superstars.

In no time, thousands of Vijay's fans not only got abusive, but they were also organized in their trolling, as the journo discovered to her horror. She went on to lodge a complaint with the police.

Online trolling is a well-known scenario in the Telugu States, too. Recently, Nani warned a fan of his against trolling other heroes. Dil Raju, an elder whom all heroes respect, suggested that the stars should appeal to their fans to give up fan wars.

It's high time that Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, NTR, Allu Arjun and Prabhas, in the main, wake up and make a concerted appeal to their fans to restrain from trolling women, especially.
