'Nartanasala' is releasing this week amid moderate to more-than-moderate expectations. The Trailer suggests that the movie must be funny.

In February, nobody had expected Naga Shaurya to score a big sleeper hit with 'Chalo'. Sold for Rs. 6 Cr, on its very first day, the rom-com made more than Rs. 1.85 Cr (share). This is despite Ravi Teja's 'Touch Chesi Chudu' competing with it. In its total run, just from theatrical collections, the movie made more than Rs. 10 Cr, becoming a super hit.

The question is, will 'Nartanasala' cross 'Chalo'? A similarity between the two entertainers is that they both are mainly comedies. Had the hero, Sathya and Vennela Kishore not tickled the funny bone in 'Chalo', the movie wouldn't have been such a big hit. Rashmika Mandanna's chemistry with the hero also helped.

Interestingly, 'Nartanasala' is a dance comedy involving everything from gay comedy, two contrasting heroines ( played by Yamini Bhaskar and Kashmira Pardeshi) and a hero who teaches self-defence to girls. Jayaprakash Reddy, Shivaji Raja, and Rocket Raghava are expected to elicit laughs.

The film releases on August 30.
