DMK cadres are looking eagerly to 07th November when the party’s working president M.K. Stalin would commence his tour of the State to meet people and party cadres and apprise them of the ‘anti-people’ policies of the EPS-OPS regime as party president M. Karunanidhi is likely to attend the event.
Karunanidhi, the nonagenarian DMK patriarch, hasn’t been spotted much in public for the past one year and his illness last year coincided with the hospitalization (and demise under mysterious circumstances) of former chief-minister J. Jayalalithaa. Only a few videos and photographs of Karunanidhi were released to the press. The 93-year old veteran visited the office of party’s mouthpiece ‘Murasoli’ last week.
After inspecting the exhibition of photographs and other items, he later left for his Gopalapuram residence. DMK cadres were elated that they could finally get to see Karunanidhi is coming out in the open from the confines of his residence. One of the doctors attending to Karunanidhi said on condition of anonymity that another ‘miracle’ might occur very soon, indicating Karunanidhi might start speaking.
Karunanidhi is expected to make an attempt and talk on 07th November when Stalin commences his State-wide tour which would be flagged off by West Bengal chief-minister Mamata Banerjee.
