Director R.Parthiban's 'Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga'w ill be hitting the screens tomorrow on the Pongal Festival day. This will be the second Tamil film to release for this grand Pongal season after Ilaythalapathy Vijay's 'Bairavaa' that released on Thursday (January 12).

Initially seven films were announced a Pongal festival along with the big ticket flick 'Bairavaa', but all of them backed out except 'KIN'. In fact Parthiban had earlier announced that the film will release on December 30 and paper ads were also released. At the last moment the release of this Shanthanu Bhagyaraj-Parvathi Nair starrer was postponed to Pongal season.

Parthiban's previous directorial venture was 'Kathai Thiriaikkathai Vasanam Iyakkam' which released on August 15, 2014 for the Independence weekend along with the biggie 'Anjaan' starring Suriya and Samantha.

While 'Anjaan' failed to live up to the hype and promotions 'KTVI' that released without much information proved to be more than satisfactory for the movie watching crowd and eventually the film emerged successful commercially as well as critically. It is true that 'KTVI' or any film will success or failure depends upon its contents.'KTVI' was such an novel attempt that was interestingly written and executed and it is a definite hit material. But one cannot deny the the contribution of other factors in the box office performance of films. That was it can be said that the below par disappointment caused by 'Anjaan' helped the film get a strong hold initially.

Now 'Bairavaa' has opened to mixed reviews. Will Parthiban's 'Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga' repeat the magic? We will know the result soon as the film will be hitting the screens in less than 24 hours from now.
