'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' was a double whammy as far as Pawan Kalyan is concerned. If it was one of his career worst films, the Bobby directorial also sank without a trace in Hindi. The film was released by Eros amid modest expectations, with Pawan taking care to participate in pre-release promotions by giving interviews to three national media outfits. It was the first Pawan movie to be dubbed into Hindi and released simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu.

Cut to 2017, Mahesh Babu's next with AR Murugadoss is going to be dubbed into Hindi, if the buzz is to be believed. Unlike 'SGS', however, this untitled flick (mostly it's 'Sambhavami') stands good chances of having a fair run at the BO.

Not that ARM enjoys market in the North, but his style of making has a certain high standard. Also, with the producers spending something like Rs. 100 Cr, the visuals are expected to be a class apart. Note that Parineeti Chopra was supposed to be cast opposite Mahesh, probably with the aim of having as at least one of the lead pairs a familiar face for Hindi audience.

Will Mahesh succeed where Pawan failed? Given the apparent advantages, yes.
