Will join the Army as honorary member: Allu Arjun

'Naa Peru Surya', which hit the screens on May 4, has been described as a patriotic drama.  Telling the story of a soldier, it features Allu Arjun as Surya, an intense soldier.  The news is that Bunny watched the film on Sunday with some jawans.

After the special screening, the army officials who had watched the movie appreciated the film unit for bringing out an inspirational entertainer.

Allu Arjun surprised everyone by revealing that he will join the Army as an honorary member.  He said, “We shot the film in original locations of army quarters and with real soldiers. I thank Indian soldiers for their assistance. I have done a good number of films so far.  A hit film gives us money and fame.  But with 'Naa Peru Surya', I have got respect, too! This film has made me proud. I had applied to join the army when I closely observed the atmosphere in the army quarters where we shot 'NPS'. I will join the Army as an honorary member soon after I get the nod from officials. In fact, this is what I primarily wished from them. I thank my producers, directors, producers and also the audience for encouraging the film. Jai Hind.”

Major Srinivasa Rao said, “Moral compass is important for soldiers. The makers of 'NPS' have rightly shown this in their film. They have infused so many ideas that the common man is not aware of.  The film strongly lungs for one India! Finally, kudos to Allu Arjun’s acting.”

Vakkantham Vamsi said, “Indian army is the one which inspired me to write this story. I am really pleased with the immense response from real heroes (soldiers). We once again thank Indian soldiers. If these kinds of films are encouraged, superstars will show interest to do such films. In fact, the audience will always encourage films with good concepts."

Producer Lagadapati Sridhar said, “First of all, I am happy to see the film alongside real heroes. Ever since after its release, 'NPS' has been doing exceptional business in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The director has aptly shown the struggles of the Indian army at the border. Allu Arjun has lived  the character."
