Amidst several protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act, Union Home Minister Amit Shah today said in Rajasthan's Jodhpur that even if all opposition parties come together, the Centre will not move back even an inch on the issue.
"You can spread as much misinformation as you want," the BJP leader said.
Meanwhile, the saffron party is drafting millions of workers to bust the myths against the Act, especially in Assam. BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav today said that the opposition parties are "trying to spread falsehood for narrow political gains about this important humanitarian gesture of our government. They are trying to provoke communal sentiments and the Muslim community."
On her part, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee today said in Siliguri that she will continue to fight against the CAA and National Register of Citizens.
