Pawan Kalyan has said that his party spokesperson Rayapati Aruna was recently abused by a close aide of a legislator from Andhra Pradesh's Prakasam district. The MLA is threatening action against the TV channels that have been reporting about the incident. In a video statement, the Jana Sena Party chief made it clear that he won't keep quiet if women are abused.
"After a recent political meeting, the close aide of the MLA used abusive words towards our female leader. Our party's spokesperson recorded the incident and outed it in public. She has been at the receiving end ever since," the actor-politician said.
"Mahaa TV and 99 TV, among others, have broadcast the same. YCP leaders have alleged that the allegations have been made for cheap publicity. They are also threatening to take legal action against the TV channels," Pawan alleged.
Pawan added that the former Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy should get his followers to conduct themselves responsibly. "In politics, you can differ on political and policy issues. Personal abuse is not done," he added.
