Ravi Prakash, who recently resigned as the CEO of TV9, has stated that he will fight the "builders and contractors lobby" in journalism. He accused My Home Group, the real estate company, of acquiring majority stakes in TV9 through backdoor channels.
The celeb journo, who is facing criminal charges of forgery, added that he was called a non-performer despite ensuring high profits for TV9. "How is it non-performance when, in 2018-19, the channel had shown a record turnover of Rs 255 Cr?" he asks.
Srini Raju had sold the company to Alanda Media and Entertainment Limited last year. Ravi Prakash says that the deal was "grossly undervalued". "I was disallowed from participating in board meetings, which were illegally held," he alleged.
