F.A.L.T.U. has turned out to be a winner at the box office with over 17 crores coming in the first week. After opening well at the box office, the film hung on for the remainder of the week as well. What has to be noted though is that collections here are at least 5 crores lesser than what they could have been had the film not clashed with World Cup finals. Collections on Saturday of the first weekend were only around 1 crore while morning shows of Sunday too were impacted due to previous night's revelry after India's win.

The film's collections have been hit by the release of 'Thank You' and a jolt has been felt. However the need of the hour for F.A.L.T.U. is to hang on in theaters because it's genre promises constant foot falls due to it's campus entertainer setting. Though a 25 crores final total is definitely in sight and hence an average tag at the least, it would be interesting to see if the film turns out to be the 'Band Baaja Baaraat' of 2011 and manages to reach the 30 crore mark.

Regardless of the film turning out to be an average fare at the box office, for Bhagnanis the film is a personal hit by all means as the industry now has a new leading man in the form of Jackky. All that is required from this point on is for the youngster is to make some smart choices rather than getting carried away by the hype and further establish himself in the industry.

As for Abhishek Bachchan, he would be happy that 'Dum Maaro Dum' is coming immediately after 'Game' which gives him an opportunity to shrug away the huge disappointment that his suspense thriller has turned out to be at the box office. Collections of this mighty expensive film have been so low that they have failed to surpass 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se', which by the way is Abhishek's biggest commercial disaster. With a mere 4.5 crores coming in the first week and no sign of the film in the second week, this game has turned out to be a no-show at the box office.
