A video clip of Arvind Kejriwal saying that industrialist Mukesh Ambani's Antilia in Mumbai rests on a Waqf Board land is going viral on the Internet. In the video, the Delhi Chief Minister is heard telling the gathering that the house will be snatched from Ambani if he comes to power. Because? The land apparently belongs to the Waqf Board. "I will give the land back to the Waqf Board," the AAP supremo says in the video.

Netizens are lashing out at Kejriwal for trying to "appease" a community by making "dangerous", "ill-advised" statements that can create "animosity" towards job-creators like Ambani.

In any case, it won't be that easy even if, by a stretch of the imagination, AAP were to come to power in Maharashtra. Ambani is one of the richest men in the country and if his house is targeted for political reasons, it will only spread a sense of uncertainty among the middle classes. Political rivals of Kejriwal will say that many of the plots on which their houses reside will be litigated. And the issue will become a political hot potato in no time.
