Becoming a director in Tamil film industry is no easy task as one has to wait several years for it to happen.

However for director Babu Yogeswaran it all happened in matter of few hours.

Elated at the good opening for his debut directorial venture Daas, Babu Yogeswaran says, 'unlike others, I did not run after producers or to the different studios in Chennai.

After working with C J Baskar for Annamalai, I wrote a story and met Editor Mohan. Impressed with the story, he agreed to play his son Ravi in the lead role and also suggested me to meet Lakshmi Movie Makers. It was sheer luck that everything fell in right place for me".

That is not all. Babu Yogeshwaran feels that he got a wealth of knowledge working in Daas.

"It was great learning experience for me working in Daas and I believe that I did a fair job in handling such a sensitive theme".
