'Radhe Shyam' is supposed to hit the screens on July 30. Given the pandemic, however, it will be a miracle if it sticks to the date. The market across the country is looking quite down and out as of today.
In this context, a really wild rumour has surfaced. ZEE5 is said to have approached UV Creations with a proposal. They have been offered a hybrid deal: A pay-per-view OTT release model for the domestic market, and a theatrical release for the Overseas market. This is on the lines of Salman Khan's 'Radhe'.

A Tollywood film distributor today confirmed on Twitter that ZEE5 is indeed in talks with a big-budget Telugu film. It's not clear whether he was referring to the Prabhas-Pooja Hedge romantic drama though.
The rumour, as things stand, sounds pretty wild. Films like 'Radhe Shyam' are meant for the big screen. Director Radha Krishna Kumar and team have shot the scenes on massive sets. Will a pan-India superstar like Prabhas agree to an OTT arrangement when even small actors are hesitating?
Let's wait and watch!
For now, at least three medium-budget films are also said to be in talks with ZEE5 for a hybrid release. If not 'Radhe Shyam', we will hopefully get to watch them soon!
