On Monday, Megastar Chiranjeevi was present at a meet organized by the makers of 'Wild Dog'. Flanked by Akkineni Nagarjuna, the 'Sye Raa' actor lauded the movie, which he said gave him goosebumps.
"I was not very excited about 'wild Dog' when I first heard about it. I only knew that the film is based on true incidents. There are no songs in the movie. When I watched it yesterday, I was bowled over by its goosebumps-inducing moments," Chiru began saying.
Calling it a great movie, Chiru added that 'Wild Dog' keeps the viewer captivated throughout its run-time. "This is a slice-of-life movie. 'Uri' (Hindi) was made in a realistic way. When I watched it, I regretted that we don't make such experimental movies. 'Wild Dog' has come as the answer, thanks to Nagarjuna. I am proud of Nag,' Chiru said.
The 'Acharya' actor added that 'Wild Dog' left him emotional. "This is a patriotic movie which shows the guts and courage of our security forces and investigators. It shows that our unsung heroes are capable of catching terror masterminds wherever they are," Chiru added.
"Director Ahishor Solomon is the reason why this film has been made. I appreciate him for his convictions. He has completed the movie in an economical way, that too during the pandemic. The audience have accepted the movie even though there are no typical romantic elements, things that we expect from a Nag movie. There is a change in the audience's tastes," Chiru said.
The film, released last Friday, also stars Saiyami Kher and others. It's produced by Niranjan Reddy, who is one of the producers of 'Acharya', Chiru's upcoming movie.
