We have heard of so many frauds but the US-based 36-year-old Jasmin Mistry is a mind-numbing fraud. The woman has cheated her husband and his family for four years by saying that she needs large amounts of money to get treated for a brain tumour.

She extracted about 2,50,000 pounds from them, only to spend the huge money on luxury handbags, among other things. Her husband Vijay Katechia has been absolutely shocked ever since he came to know of his wife's deceit.

A news report says that Jasmin successfully conned 28 members from her family and among her friends, consistently telling them that she is undergoing an expensive proton beam therapy for the tumour.

When her husband showed a scan of his wife's tumour to a doctor friend, the latter told him that it has been downloaded from the Internet. This is when the husband understood that he had been conned by his wife, whom he had blindly trusted since their marriage.

Not just her family, she has cheated gullible men on dating apps as well.

The culprit has been sentenced for four years by a US court.
