Any guesses what could be the link between Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan and Prince of Tollywood Mahesh Babu in the year 2015 and what made the duo different???

Well, both the superstars despite being the heartthrob of the masses for their action oriented films, in 2015 experimented with their images and dared to opt for emotional and social subjects.

While Salman Khan spread the message of secular harmony between India and Pakistan with BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN, on the other hand, Mahesh Babu sent the noble message of adopting village in his film SRIMANTHUDU!

Interestingly both the films were welcomed with open hands by their fans and went on write new box-office history in the annals of Indian cinema. While Salman Khan`s BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN raked in a whopping Rs 626 crores worldwide; Mahesh Babu`s SRIMANTHUDU collected an enormous Rs 150 crore at the box office making it one of the actor`s biggest hits in his career.

What is surprising is that both Kabir Khan and Koratala Siva, the directors` of BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN and SRIMANTHUDU had to face stiff opposition from the distributors as the films were against the action image of Salman Khan and Mahesh Babu but both the directors had confidence in the superlative script hence they successfully convinced the distributors.

In fact the real Hero` of 2015 has been fabulous scripts. Films with weak script, despite big budget failed to click like BOMBAY VELVET, SHAMITABH, ROY, DETECTIVE BYOMKESH BAKSHY! Etc. Similarly down South India, films with poor script like BRUCE LEE: THE FIGHTER, UTHAMA VILLAIN, LAILA O LAILA could not be hit despite top stars.
