Why this Kolaveri, Dhanush?

A single track from '3', Dhanush's forthcoming flick directed by wife Aishwarya, was launched on Wednesday, at a shopping mall and a radio station. The response to the number, 'Why this kolaveri di...' is amazing, the actor says.
Music composed by Anirudh, a newcomer, the song has lyrics by Dhanush himself. And, what's more? The National award winning actor has crooned it as well. It is a song which is fit for a bathroom singer. Since I am one, I gave my voice to it, he says.

Aishwarya, the elder daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth, is equally thrilled. The rough cut which was out on the internet a few days ago is already a hit and we are happy to release the official version now. The feedback is very encouraging, the debutant filmmaker says.
On how he became a full-fledged lyricist, Dhanush, who has penned all the songs in the movie, says, Since I found a lot of free time on the sets of 3, I filled the tunes with some dummy words, which were liked by Anirudh and Aishwarya. That's how it happened.
