Pooja, Priya, Sandhya, etc are common names of female leads in our movies. But Vikram Kumar has always chosen the name Priya for his heroines right since the days of 'Ishtam'. What is the reason for this?

"Priyanka Arul's name in 'Gang Leader' is Priya. Vikram has consistently named his heroines thus. The name of his wife is not Priya, though. One wonders what is his liking for the name all about," says Nani in an interview. At this, the female lead of the soon-to-be-released movie interjects and claims that she knows the secret. "But I won't tell it in public," she says.

Can we expect Vikram to reveal it? Nani is skeptical. He jokes, "Vikram has no dearth of ideas. He is going to cook up a story in explaining the reason for the name."

Before 'Gang Leader', Nani was offered two stories by Vikram. "They were either unsuitable for me or had some demerit. 'Gang Leader' was the perfect script," the Natural Star says.

The film, a crime comedy where Nani plays a funny novelist named Pencil, will release on September 13.
