The man of the hour, the man of the history, the man who literally made a billion people be proud of their country. Men's javelin throw was the last event for the country at the Tokyo 2020 and one of India's biggest gold-medal hopes, Neeraj Chopra, was in the reckoning. After facing the press yesterday he ecstatically said that, "I wasn't sure of the gold, but knew I had thrown my best!"
After all of the pomp and gauge, his tweet from 2017 is now resurfacing and taking Twitter by storm which really says why he is a champion today! His tweet read, "When the dream of success doesn't let you sleep, when all you want to do is hard work, when you don't get exhausted despite training all day, then understand the fact that history is going to be made!"
This champion mentality is what takes people to places and Neeraj Chopra is just the perfect example! The dedication, the passion and all the hardwork has finally come out in flying colours giving India a stepping stone of success in the athletics events. After bagging the gold medal he dedicated the medal to the late legendary sprinter Milkha Singh and said, "I dedicate this medal fo Milkha Singh. Hopefully he'll be watching this from the heavens".
