Heres why Superstar Nagarjun stayed away from Bollywood film for a long time

There aren't many southern superstars who can match the stardom of Nagarjun Akkineni. He has been the flag bearer of Telugu film industry for years and the dubbed versions of his films have gained massive popularity in Hindi speaking regions as well. Nagarjuna will be seen in the big budget sci-fi flick 'Brahmastra'. This will mark his return to Bollywood after 17 years. His last Hindi film was 'LOC Kargil' which had an ensemble cast. About such a long gap between his Bollywood films, Nagarjuna said that he never aspired to make a career in Bollywood.

In a recent interview, he shared, "Well, I don’t know what role Bollywood played in my career. I’ve never looked at it that way. I’ve have never looked at it as a career in Bollywood."

However, he does acknowledge the part Bollywood has played in his career. He said, “Now, people like me in Bollywood, and anywhere, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, or Mumbai. My films are watched, and that means my producer gets a little more money to play with while making a film. So, it helps an actor’s career. But, I’ve never looked at the craving of acceptance in Bollywood."

Superstar Nagarjuna has several Hindi titles like Khuda Gawah (1992), Drohi (1992), Criminal (1995) and Zakhm (1998) to his name.
